printing

My printer is an hp deskjet 932c. As of yesterday
afternoon, it will no longer print documents from my
computer. I have done all of the online troubleshooting
steps - checked connections, tried printing from command,
deleted and then added the printer, checked for hardware
updates, etc. - with no success. The printer will print
test pages when I use its buttons but, when I request a
document to be printed using the print command in the
toolbar or the printer icon, nothing happens. It's as
though the printer is not receiving the information as
there are no lights flashing, no acknowledgement of the
request. I also noticed that, when in my Device Manager,
I cannot find the printer. However, in my computer's
Control Panel, the printer is there and is set as the
default printer. I think this all may have happened
after I installed updates on my computer. (I have
Windows XP home) I seem to be getting a lot of pop up ads
lately too. Please help with my printer problem. I've
spent hours on this already!!!!

I have a T45xi printer and after downloading it stopped
printing?

I have XP

Any suggestions?
 
I did this already. No success. I will try again. I
have heard that many people are having problems after
installing security updates. Not sure how to tackle this
problem.

I reinstalled my printer from the hp website,I
uninstalled the last security update and still cannot
print anything. Please help.
