printing

[Printer problems]

When I turned on my printer (HP DeskJet 3840 Series) the light on the
printer(on/off button) just flickers on and off. I can't print anything, but
the computer sends what I want to print to the printer itself. I can see that
it wants to print because it's waiting in the printing list. I'm stumped.
