printing

I have an xp home version laptop wireless and a 2000 version desktop with a linksus wireless router. my computers connect to the internet fine although I can not get the laptop to see my desktop so that I can print to it. Both computers are hp as is the printer. I have tried all of the wizards to no avail. HELP It worked fine when I used 98 on the desk top although I had to use the xp setup when I changed to 2000 it just won't work.
 
What error message are you getting when you try to install the network
