I am normally on a domain and use DHCP, however
ocassionally I am off the domain at a different office
that uses fixed IP's. I can not access the network
printer on their network. It is not on the network under
its own IP, it is shared from the server. Is there any way
I can connect to this printer? I can ping this server and
it attaches me to the high speed connection, however I can
not see it within NN (network neighbourhood) nor search
for it. Is there any trick to getting it to appear in NN
so that I can select it, log in, and then attach to the
printer?

If you can PING the server in the second location, that means that you are
receiving a proper IP. Try using Start, Runto connect to the printer.
Type the name or IP address of the print server. When the window opens
right click the shared printer and select connect.
