Hello,

We have a printer with 2 trays, one letter and one legal. Our form has
a button that is supposed to print the form to legal standard but my
question is, is there anything specific that has to be set in order to
tell the printer it is legal?
What ends up happening is that the form still prints on letter and comes
out over two pages.

TIA,

Mike.

Forms aren't intended to be printed: that's what reports are for. If you
create a report from your form, you can choose a specific printer so as to
get the print properties you want.

Hi Doug,

Sorry my terminology may have been wrong. I am asking on behalf os
another person in our organization that has done this. They have set
the button action to print to the default printer and have specified
what they believe is the appropriate settings so that it sould come out
on Legal paper. However the printer is not grabbing the paper from the
legal tray (tray 2 which btw is configured properly on our print server)
but instead is grabbing letter paper from tray 1 and using two pages.
I guess the issue I am having is to first determine if the problem
resides on the printer side or if it is in fact within the access
application.
Any suggestions would be immenseley appreciated :)

Thanks again.

Mike.

As I stated before, have them create a report, as opposed to using the form.

When you create the report, set the printer (on the Page tab on the "File |
Page Setup when the report's open in Design mode) to whatever's appropriate
for a printer than will print to Legal paper.
