Printing to LAN with Internet Connection Firewall

Have an 802.11b network at home.

Shared printer is attached to the same PC that has the router and
cable modem.

Seems that network PCs can't print to this printer if they have ICF
enabled.

Is this normal, and is there any way to tell ICF to let printer calls
through, or is my only option to disable ICF?

On second thought, does it even make sense to have ICF enabled on PCs
that are behind a router?

Thanks.

Disable ICF on computers behind the firewall. As the name "Internet
Connection Firewall" suggests, ICF protects Internet connected computers
and is not intended to be used to LAN computers from each other.

Here is a quote from your help file on your computer.
"You should not enable Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) on any connection
that does not directly connect to the Internet. If the firewall is enabled
on the network adapter of an ICS client computer, it will interfere with
some communications between that computer and all other computers on the
network."

Although the quote refers to ICS, ICF will similarly interfere with LAN
communications behind a router.
