Printing Text from Websites

When i print text from websites - such as a recipe from the food network
website, the font size is very very small- almost too small to read. All
other items print standard-e-mails, word processing documents, etc.

I have windows XP home edition and am using AOL 9.0 Optomized SE.

Internet Explorer font size can be changed under View, Text Size.

You may wish to copy and paste the text to something temporarily, like
Notepad, where you can enlarge it and change the font (if necessary) and
then print from Notepad. It's not IE's fault, it's the fault of the
webmaster of the site you are trying to print. It's up to them what size
and font they use. Some companies have a 'print' icon on the page, which
should change (often in a popup page) the font to one that is easier to read
and commerical/ad free.

Cari - thanks for your response. The reason i dont think its the webmasters
fault, is that when I access the same website from my second computer, the
type size is normal. This computer also uses Windows XP but operates on
a different AOL version. By the way, when i access the website using IE
instead of AOL i also get the same reduced type size. Cant figure it out!

There may be an option in the printer driver that allows the data to be sent
to the printer in "RAW" mode.
Some printers have a similar option and identify it as bitmapped or bit
image.
The problem may be that the printer driver is defaulting to a small print
size.
One of the more common causes for this is a bad or missing font, usually one
of the more often used fonts.
The system may have more than one print processor. Mine has the standard win
print processor, a brother print processor, and a cannon processor. Using
the wrong processor/printer combination can also cause similar results to
those you get.

would this problem surface only when printing text from internet sites, or
also be experienced during other printing tasks? My problem is only when
printing from websites. Also, how do I go about correcting the problem? Thank
you for your help.
