i know that if you want half your slides to be portrait and half to be landscape you must create two different presentations and link them together but how does this affect the printing.
ie if all the odd slides were portrait and all the even slides were landscape how would i go about printing them so that they all came out in the correct order.
also how would the handouts option?

Printing slides and handouts are options for a presentation, so you'll have
to print two different sets and hand colate them. You won't get an
automatic merging of the two presentations, so page numbers will not be
sequential after colating them. For handouts you might try using the "Send
to Word" option and then merge the two documents in Word and format them to
meet your requirements.
