Printing shifts to right side

Using XP SP2, printing on HP Laserjet 2500.
When printing any document on the HP Laserjet 2500, the print job will
subsequently shift to the right of the page. The first page prints fine, but
slowly the print job starts to move to the right and eventually out of the
page margin.
When I stop the print job and start printing again, it does the same thing.
I believe I have the most current printer driver.
How can I solve this issue?

Thanks.

This is weird, the only time I have seen anything like this is when the paper
guides in the tray are not set to the correct position for the paper. This
could result in serious lateral offset if the paper in use is narrower than the
maximum width for the printer. What size paper are you using?

Hi Tony,

I'm using standard letter size paper. I made sure that the guides in the
tray were set up correctly, which they are.
This is a strange issue and can't figure out what the problem is nor how to
fix it.
