Printing Reports from other forms.

I have a form that I would like to be popup and modal. However, I cannot
print the report from the File menu. I have tried to change the modal on the
form to no, and have tried to make the report popup. What is the standard
for forms and reports using popup and modal? Is there a way to print the
report without making the form's popup and modal properties to no?

If the form is Popup and Modal, you must close the form before you can do
anything else within that instance of Access, except actions within the
form. Therefore, you must either change the form's mode (before you open
it - I don't think there's any way you can do this "on-the-fly"), or put a
button to preview/print the report on the form itself. If you do open the
report in preview mode from a button on the form, the form will remain
positioned over the report preview.

Well I know that! that is the problem. I cannot print the report when the
form is popup or modal. So, basically you are saying that you have to change
the forms modal and popup to no, or else you can not print the report.

I'm saying that you must either change the form's mode, OR put a button on
the form to print the report. Putting a button on the form will allow the
report to be printed while the form is open, because it is on the form
itself, and therefore is not disabled because the popup/modal form is open.

If you don't do it that way, or change the form's mode, you cannot print the
report while the form is open.

Thank you for your help. I thought maybe there was another way. I will just
change the properties.
