Printing Report Crashes Access

When I print a report using a command button, once the report is sent to the
printer Access crashes with a fatal error.
The report query runs fine and it will even Preview Report fine. It only
has to do with the printing. Let me know if this does not explain the
situation enough. This is the last problem I am having before being ready to
deploy. Thanks for your help.

Hi Jace,

I assume it's just one report. What have you done or tried in order to
troubleshoot the problem? Do you get the same problem using another
computer?
Have you compact and repair? You could also try creating a brandnew, blank,
database and import everything to this database and see if the report still
crashes.

Thanks for the reply. The error is occuring on my XP machine and on a 2000
machine. I have copied the necessary queries, forms, and report to a new
blank database and tried it there. I have also compact and repaired this
database and I can't tel that it does anything.
Not all of my reports do this, but about 3 of them do. I can't tell what it
is about these particular three that are different than the rest. I will try
to cleanup the queries and use statements as the record source instead of
another query.
Keep in mind that the preview report works fine. Correct information and no
errors.

Thank you so much for your help.

Have you tried printing to a different printer?

When you preview, can you preview each page to the end of the report with no
problem?

In any case, if you haven't already done so, you might take 5 minutes to
visit your printer manufacturers website and see if there is a driver
update. Previewing but not printing makes me suspect the problem is not
within Access.

I have not tried a different printer. I actually do not have my printer
hooked up to my computer right now. But on most of the reports it sends it
to the printer queue and then gives me a printer error message, however
Access remains open. When I am on the other computer that it shut down on,
it still prints the report but shuts down right after that.
I will try installing the program on a whole new computer and see if it
shuts down on the same report. The report is only one page long so I see all
of it.

The report that prints is one that lists recipes and all of their
ingredients for the entire database. The report that is shutting down Access
is one where I ask the user to specify on a form which item they want to
print a single recipe for.

Hope this gives you some more to work with. Thank you so much for your time.
