Since no one responded to my last question, I guess no one knows the answer.
Do you think the power that be at Microsoft would be able to help??
All I want to do is print one contact group. I have 5 different groups and
I would like to print one at a time. I don't want to print the entire
contact list. Is this such a large request that no one seems to know the
answer to?
This was my question a few days ago. Sorry if I stumped anyone, but this
is just getting mind boggling.
I really would appreciate an answer, someone, please- Gary, how about you,
do you know the procedure for this? can you find out for me please.
Thanks
Lil

How do I print just a Contact Group. I have a number of groups and I would
like to print each one separately. Is there a way of doing this. In OE you
could print just one group, need to know how to do the same in WinMail.
Thanks
Lil

Gary,

Will this OE *Trick* work with WinMail? I Have no way to test it.

Groups are a little tougher than Address Books. Open the group and highlight
all the addresses | Right click and Copy.

Now the fun part. If you Paste into Notepad or any word processing program,
the addresses will all be on the left side of the page and use up a lot of
paper. I have Word Perfect. If I widen the left and right margins to .5 and
the select Format and choose three columns, when I ***Paste Special***, the
whole page is used as the addresses are in all three columns.

Use the Two Side option when printing to save even more paper.

The copy trick does not work.
Notepad would not paste the copy.
Word 2007 allowed the paste, but the result was a bunch of
"name.contact" icons, no details.

Thanks Gary and Bruce. I appreciate the effort and the response. Maybe
eventually MS will come up with some solutions.

Has anyone found a solution since this problem was first posted. I have
spent several hours a) trying to figure it out or b) searching for a solution.

Surely it can't be that hard!!!

Decision

I'm not a contacts expert, but perhaps you could export contacts into
a CSV file, import that into Excel, sort on the desired parameter,
highlight the portion you want printed, then print the selected portion.

Lil Menta,

Open Contacts
Select the Contact Group
Open the Contact Group
Select the Printer Icon
print on the selected printer

There is one catch - although the contacts appear in order on the screen,
they do not print that way.

There does not seem to be any rhime or reason to the order in which the
contact within the contact group prints. It is not alphabetical, although it
may appear so, the next time it is not.

It does not appear to be in the order in which the contact was added to the
group.

This is the problem I have been wrestling with. If you only have a few
names it doe not matter but I have a few groups, 1 with over 130 names and it
does matter there.
