Hi,
I am working on a project where we are replacing over 400 Computers with
Thin Terminals all running Windows XP Embedded (with SP1), but we are having
huge problems with printing.
Basically, when we use the Windows print driver for the network printer
(TCP/IP port has already been created), once we do a windows print test page
the test page does not display the windows logo, all the text is a much
smaller size than it should be (and all the same size - not even the "Windows
XP Printer Test Page" is larger), and there is no bold text.
Then, when we print from a web page it does not print any of the images, the
formatting is not correct (again the tables not displayed correctly and the
font is all the same small size and no bold text etc), and there are other
weird characters (looks like 2 letters overlayed on top of eachother - eg,
the letter 'e' overlayed with the letter 'l').
I have tried using the drivers that come with XP Embedded for the specific
printer.
It is happening on all printers we have tried (Lexmark T522, Lexmark E323,
Apple LaserWriter 16/600).
Cannot get any free email support from Microsoft because the Thin Terminals
were purchased from HP, and were pre-loaded with XPe with sp1.
The generic HP Laserjet driver does not work either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
