Printing problems after XP SP2 install

We have been experiencing problems with some users who after installing
Windows XP SP2 have been unable to print to our HP Print Server device
printers. We can disable the firewall and print and we can reconfigure the
printer ports to the TCP/IP address of the printer but if you try to print to
the printer name on the print server it will not work. Other users like
myself running SP2 have no problems.
We also get printer queues saying they have jobs but when opened are empty

Has anyone experienced any symptoms that resemble this?
Any suggestions??

I I am having the same problem.. i strat the spooler, and it immediatly errors
out. i have a dell insprion 8200 and am attaching into a wirless network..
but a brother printer i have tried all sorts of things ...no sucess

I have same problem with canon mp730 printer after installing SP2.
Can't access the printer on the network, even though it's visible.
Is this linked to interaction with McAfee virus scan and SP2 firewall
