Printing problems after installing SP1

I installed sp1 on an hp pavilion xf125 laptop this
morning. I have been networked at home for several
months. I have had no trouble printing from my laptop to
my printer (connected to my desktop computer)until now. i
receive the same erro message in WordPerfect and MS
Word; "Print Spooler Services not started. Cannot find
the printer". I have a LexmarkZ45 as my printer. It
still shows in my printer list and is my default printer.
I am not sure how to re-establish connections thru my
network. File and printer sharing are checked under my
network connections. Needless to say, this has been a
very frustrating evening. Any help would be appreciated.

Start the print spooler.

From the command prompt, type:

net start spooler
(and hit enter)
