Printing problems AFTER installation of scanner

HP deskjet 5650 worked great until after installation of
visioneer 7300 scanner. Now only administrator can
print, other users cannot. When accessing printer
properties box, there is no security tab to set
permissions. Holding down the ctrl key while right-
clicking on printer properties still not display the
security tab. Tried reinstalling printer but no luck.
Help!!?
 
Are these parallel port or USB devices? XP Home or Pro, and do you have
Norton Antivirus installed? If so, which version?
 
I am running XP home with Version 9.12.03b Norton
Antivirus. Both devices are USB but I can hook up
printer by parallel port. Do you think that could help?
Do I need to reinstall the printer also? Thanks.
