Sam

I have a powerpoint presentation that is twenty five pages
long. It is powerpoint 2000 and running on a windows xp
box. Printer is an HPLJ4000 with the lastest drivers.

The problem is when I print out the presentation all the
pages comes out okay except for one page that has a
graphic image. The image will not print out. That
particular page prints out okay but not the image on that
page.

Any ideas or suggestions greatly appeciated.

HPLJ4000 ... If my memory serves me well is a black and white printer.

OK...this one graphic image....where did it come from?
Is it a bitmap/scan/photo type image or a clip-art/vector/logo-graphics type
image?

It maybe that someone has assigned a "black and white" setting for it "not
to print"

What happens if you
View menu
Black and white
then show that page

Can you still see the image?

What settings are you using for the printing?
slides, handouts, notepage.
2-up, 6-up, etc.
Color, grayscale, B/W

It makes a big difference in the way things print.

Troy,

The printer setting is set for slides and B/W mode. I've
tried printing in grayscale and that did not help
either. Thanks for your suggestion.

The image is a jpeg image embedded in the presentation.
The original image was in pdf format and was converted to
jpeg.

Per your suggestion of checking the b/w setting, when I
select that option in the view, the image gets converted
to b/w.

a little more info: the presentation prints out ok from
another computer that has windows xp and powerpoint 2000
installed but it won't print from my computer.

Don't know if this helps you, but I was having the same
problem under Mac OS X. My slides printed OK on Powerpoint
under Windows 2000, but on the mac all my imported jpegs
came out fuzzy. (If I imported them into Word on the mac,
they printed fine.) I just tried opening the image in
another app (in this case, Apple's Preview), and then
copying and pasting it into my Powerpoint presentation. I
think this cured the problem. Again, may not be relevant
for your problem under windows.
