Printing powerpoint notes pages

I need to print several hundred powerpoint notes pages
for a training manual. When I view the notes pages on
the screen they do not have a boarder around the notes
text. But when I print them some pages have boarders
around the text and some do not - there seems to be no
rhyme or reason. I have gone to the view notes page
master and have tried clicking on the boarder and then no
line but that seems to have no effect. Any suggestions?

First, choose View, Black& White then do View, Notes Pages.
Check the problem slides to see whether or not they have outlines in B/W
view.

Next, are you printing to a PostScript printer?
PowerPoint doesn't always set and reset the PS graphics state properly. In
NonGeek, that means something like "it tells the printer to paint pixels in
black then later forgets to tell it to stop doing that". That can lead to
lines appearing/disappearing unexpectedly.

One thing to try as a test:

Draw a rectangle on one of the problem notes pages. Make sure it's set to
NO outline or white outline, either one.
Send it backward until it's "between" the slide image and the text (that is,
when you TAB through the slide, you select the slide image first, then the
rectangle, then the text box).

Now try printing again
