Printing photos from a HP 930c

Hello,

I have the above printer and was trying to print out photos. Unfortunately,
some of the colours don't look as rich as I would expect given the photo
paper and 2400x1200 resolution.

I have a tri-colour cartridge and black cartridge, and a friend mentioned
that I should remove the black and put in a CYMK (he thinks) in instead.

Does this sound right? Unfortunately the link to the manual on the HP site
is broken.

The Deskjet 930c employs PhotoREt III (I believe the newest Photosmart
printers are up to PhotoREt V) so its photographic quality won't be as good
as you'd expect. I think it's adequate though, assuming you have good
paper.

The only cartridges the printer can use is one black and one color. You
can't replace the black with another color cartridge.
