We have a number of student laptops running W2K Pro that
need to attach to a W2K AD Print Server. Users have
accounts in the AD Domain, print permissions to the
shared printers, but their laptops are in a seperate
workgroup. Using Add Printer for a network printer, users
would enter \\PrintServer\ShareName. W2K will prompt for
a UserID (Domain\ID is typed) and their Password. W2K
indicates that their ID or Password is wrong. Eventually
their account locks-out due to the number of exceeded
attempts. On student XP Pro laptops outside the Domain,
connecting to the Print Server works just fine. Any
suggestions would greatly be appriciated.
