Has anyone printed on magnetic sheets?

something like --> http://www.allmagnetics.com/craft/printable.htm

Were you able to get good results or dis it look 'homemade'?
Can you give the specifics of your setup?
I was thinking of printing a photo on a 4 x 6 magnet.

Thanks,
NK

I have found most magnetic sheets don't have a good coating (or good
magnetism, since they're so very thin), so prints look like they were
made on plain paper. I would reccomend using photo paper and buying
some magnetic tape (Wal-Mart carries it in the office supply and craft
section, the one in the craft section is thicker and stronger but the
office supply one - Xyron - looks better because it's thinner), and
sticking that on the back of the photo paper.

Thanks for the information,

I was thinking of possibly using a solvent-based inkjet to print on
DigiMag=AE VINYL. What do you think of this option. I think this is not
a paper-based media and it is meant for outdoor use.

I'm not familiar with that kind of process, but I would look for
samples to test it with before spending a lot on it. I'm not sure how
vinyl is printed on.

NK-

I've printed several photographs on two brands of magnetic pages from the
local office supply stores.

They look OK to me, but are a little subdued compared to prints on glossy
photo paper. I tell the printer driver I'm using "matte" photo paper or
whatever is close. That way it prints a better photograph than by
specifying plain paper.

You really need to try it yourself. Sacrifice a sheet, cut it into
quarters and try a photo using different settings. I think you will find
it satisfactory for its intended purpose, seeing your loved one's face on
the refrigerator!
