Hello again NG!
I tried to print out my presentation on a black&white printer (HP LJ 4).
When I print out a colored (eg green) box it's correctly printed in a grey
style. But when I print out 1-dimensional objects (like lines, arrows etc.)
they are always printed in black and not some kind of grey. This also
happens when I attach a thickness of 20pt or more to them.

Can anybody tell me, why those objects are printed in black and not in grey
as the 2-dimensional objects are?

Thanx in advance
Oliver

You will see that lines are printed in BLACK (always). Just one of those
things!

Hmm... hoped it had something todo with my settings... :(

Anyway: Thank you for your quick response!

For everybody who is interested in this problem:
I found a solution to solve this problem, at least for my printer. Although
I have a b&w printer I chose "print style-> color" and got nice greyscales!

I haven't had a chance to test this, but I think what's happening is this:

When it prints in pure b/w and possibly grayscale, PowerPoint makes all text
and all outlines black. PowerPoint sees lines and arrows as shapes that have
only an outline, no fill, so it seems reasonable that it would make them black.

If you like, you can choose "Color" in the print dialog box. Then PowerPoint
will send shapes to the printer unmodified and let the printer make the color
to b/w conversion.

Or you can control how objects print in b/w:
