Hi experts!

I'm trying to print the notes view to Acrobat Distiller and can't get
it to work. I have managed to modify the notes master view, but for
some reason the changes I make here are only valid for the title
slide. All following slides are stuck to the top of the page.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rene

When printed to Distiller or when viewed via View, Notes Pages?

And can you describe "stuck to the top of the page" a bit more? What exactly
is stuck to the top of the page? The slide image on the notes page or
something else? What about the notes text? Is it where it belongs?

And as long as I'm flailing away with questions:

What version of PowerPoint?

What version of Acrobat (5 I'd guess, but verify that?)

And are you printing using the toolbar buttons that Acrobat installed or via
File, Print etc?

Hi Steve!

See my comments below,
When printed to Distiller or when viewed via View, Notes Pages?

When viewed in PPT 2000 everything is OK, only in the resulting PDF
the notes images are stuck to the top of the page, meaning their is no
page boarder, even though in the master I have positioned the slide
image accordingly.

On a side note... is there a way to apply a notes master to all
slides?

I'm using file-> print-> etc.

Thanks for your input!
Rene

Ah. Some versions of Acrobat are ... pardon the high-tech jargon ... buttheads.
They insist on applying weird cropping to your PDFS.

Open the PDF in Acrobat (not Reader) and use the documents/cropping feature to
set the crops back to zero. See if that makes the magic.

It normally does apply to all slides, but if you've changed individual slides,
PPT assumes you did it for a reason and won't override your changes with changes
to the master.

I think Shyam Pillai's got some code on his site to reapply the notes master
layout to every slide. www.mvps.org/skp/
