I wish to perform the above without having to open and close separate
documents. I can select the documents in explorer but when I right click and
press print nothing happens; documents are not registered in printer window.
I heard that I need to turn on multiple printing but cannot find this option
in explorer tools. I am using windows XP professional and office 2003. Does
anyone out there have a solution or suggestion?

Have you checked your printer properties>Advanced tab to print
spooled documents first? Is it checked? If that doesn't work, try
printing directly to the printer.

Hi and thanks for the info. unfortunately it didn't work. Is it possible that
windows or office are to blame?

In WindowsXP anything is possible. Check below for additional info:
Windows requires a little work to set up the multiple print option, but once
enabled it's very quick and easy. When you right-click on a file, one of the
options you see is "Send to." It' s possible to add a printer to the "Send
to" list, enabling you to easily print a document or a group of selected
documents by right-clicking.

How to Add Items to the "Send To" Menu in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;310270&

1.select the document you wish to print- for multiples, shift-click or click
and drag.
2.with the documents selected, right-click.
3.Choose Send to, the choose the printer from the list.
4. You'll get a message asking if you're sure you want to print - say OK.

Windows willl launch the necessary program or programs to print the files
and will print them without you having to do anything else.
Happy putering :~)

You have to restore the defaults for File Type .DOC. Open any
Explorer windows and go to Tools. Scroll down under File Types to
DOC and click on Restore. You will now have a Print To subtype
rather than just Open.
