Hello

Im looking for a way to have word load a bunch of text files and automatically print them.

This method must be automatic, I dont want to have to open up individual files and click "print".

If anyone has any ideas or solutions please let me know.

Thank you,

DC

Well, I suppose you could import multiple text files into Word, but that's the long way 'round. To print multiple files, you need only open a Windows Explorer window, select the files that you want to print (assuming that they're all in one directory), right click, and select Print from the context menu that appears. They'll all open and print themselves quite nicely.

HTH!

Thank you for the reply!

Actually, my application is a little more complicated then that. Basically what I have is an inbox of correspondence letters that must be sent to customers, they are normal emails in the hundreds that I need to have automatically printed to my specificied justification and the printer will automatically sort them into envelops.

I can do all the justifaction via outlook but as you know the annoying header prints as well :(

I've looked for every workaround possible but to no avail. I have seen vba code that will pull the message body and save it into text, so i could technically have this trigger and save it into a "to print" folder as hundreds of text files.

Problem with doing it via explorer is that the filename will show on the top, and I cant set customized justifcation to be used across the board.

Woooo almost there :) I changed my default editor to wordpad and wordpad retains my justification properties but not the font setting which needs to be arial 14. I'd change my default to word and have word do it but it will open up 100 documents instead of spooling, and this will obviously create some issues when doing mass files.

Now if only I can find a way to have wordpad retain my font settings hrmmmmmmmmmmm.
