Printing Multiple Email Messages

I would like to be able to print a group of memo-style
email messages directly one after the other (ie. each one
doesn't start on a new page).

It seems as though there is an option for this in the
print window, but it is greyed out so it is not accessable
to change (it is perpetually checked).

People in our office remember being able to do this in the
past, how can I make this option available?

Erica, just multiple-select the messages you want to print, and hit
"print".

What I'd like to know, though, is how to get rid of that accursed user-name
field above each and every message when printed. It should at least be
customisable so you can have the message subject put there, or the name of
the person the message is from...!
