printing more than 3 address lines in a mail merge

Most of my business contact addresses have more than 3 lines ie. name, street
address, suite #, city/state. When doing a mail merge to print with an
existing document, the 4th line of the address (city/state) is automatically
spaced down one line (leaving a blank space) when I click on Merge To
Printer. How can I prevent this from occuring? This does not occur if there
are only three lines in the address, but bringing the suite # and/or building
# up to the second line with the street address makes the text too long.
THANKS!

Just a guess, but when you added the suite# number as an extra line to
the street address field, you may have added a line feed after it?

Luther,
You have an interesting idea here. The "extra" line in the address was keyed
into the address field of the contact record that holds many lines of address
information. The question is, What may cause a potential line break after
this third line in the address and not after the first or second lines? Any
thoughts? If there is a line break inserted, where do I find it and
eliminate? I appreciate your powe of thought on this. Stuart
