I use microsoft outlook. All my contact records have been put in categories.
One of them is something I call Christmas card. I want to export or print
all those name and addresses onto labels. I have tried the help menu but
cannot follow the knowledge base. Can you give me some suggestions? thank
you.

Judy,
I am sorry i did not mean to submit the post was not helpful. It was
helpful but it did not answer my question or at least I cannot follow the
directions. I am running outlook 2003 as a side note. I have sorted my
address book by category. I have highlighted the records I want to export/
mail merge. I follow your instructions but cannot get the merge to show up
in WORD to create the labels. With one try I exported all the notes for each
record which did not help me. In another I got the field headers but not the
data. All the addresses I want to use are tagged as the mailing address in
each record. Aside from the mailing address I need to pull and place the
full name on the top line of the label. Sorry for my ignorance. This should
be pretty easy.

Judy,
I am sorry to keep asking you about this but I am still having trouble. I
highlight records in their entirity within Outlook. I hit
Tools|mailmerge|set the document to mailing lables| merge to printer all with
no problem. My PC launches Word and the mail merge helper comes up. That
is where my break down happens. Here is what I am trying to do within Word.

Mail Merge Helper:
create: mailing labels
get data:4 options
Create Data source-I go through and only get columns headers. no data
transfers over
open data source-it opens a window but I do not recognize the files
use address book-I get a windoes error aboutnot having access
header option-goes in a circle through create data source.

Can you please walk me through the steps to merge the document? I have done
this so many times I am not sure why I am having so much trouble. Thank you
