I recently migrated our files from one server to another.
The new server is Windows 2000
The old server was Windows NT 4
I recreated the printers on the new server using the Standard Port Monitor.
The old server was renamed to SERVER2
The new server was renamed to SERVER1, which was the old name of SERVER2.
We have Windows NT 4 and Windows 2000 clients.
Some clients have issues printing such as Crystal Reports.
Do the printers need to be recreated on each desktop even though the Server
name and the share of the printer name are the same?
If not, does anyone know why this is happening? I am using the latest
drivers from HP's website.
Thanks in advance,
Michael
