Printing issue

I am sorry if this has come up already but I couldn't find a solution.

A client of mine is using TS to get into the Home office. All the users,
except one are able to print to their default printer (networked). One user
is does not have his local default printer available under TS.

But, when he logs on to TS form any PC except his own, the default printer
is avaliable.

Basically his PC is the only issue.

Any ideas.

Thanks

Steve

What's the make and model of the local printer?
Which port is it connected to on the client?
Does it use a custom port, like DOT4?
Which version of the rdp client are you running?
Have you checked the rdp client settings about printer redirection?
Have you checked the EventLog on the Terminal Server?
Any Events about printing when this user connects?

4Vera,

This is a networked HP1200 printer. Every other computer in the office has
no problem printing to this printer from TS, just this PC has the problem.
If the user moves to a differnet PC he can print fine via TS.

All the users are mapping the printer \\PC1\HP1200

We are using the RDP client from Windows XP.

OK, that leaves still these questions:

By checking the EventLog you can find out if printer redirection is
attempted and fails, or if it is not attempted at all. That's
crucial information.
Of course, if the rdp client settings (on the workstation) are not
properly set, printer redirection is not attempted, so I would
check that as well.
