We have recently upgraded from windows 95 to Windows xp
pro. After this upgrade printing have slowed
dramatically. It will print one page wait 5 to 10 seconds
print another. What may cause this?? Help??

There is no upgrade path from Windows95 to XP. Microsoft designed this
feature as most PCs that run 95 do not meet the specifications for XP.

If your PC does meet or exceed the minimum specifications for XP ensure your
LPT port is set to EPP in the BIOS.

If the printer is the same age as Windows95, I'd suggest you get a new
one.....

Windows95a did not support USB and b and c releases did, but very badly. If
you have USB ports on your PC, and your printer is not as ancient as your
PC, connect your printer via the USB.

Try changing the spool data format to raw.

Go into printers and faxes, right click on the printer,
left click on properties, go into the advanced tab and
change it to print directly to the printer.

Click apply then okay and restart your computer.

Try again to print.
