Printing in Portrait

My Outlook Express v6 has worked perfectly for ages.
Recently it defaults to printing in landscape format. No
matter how many times I change the format in 'Properties'
and 'apply' the next document comes back in landscape.
All my other Office programs print to the default setting
I choose. Have I missed something?
