till a couple weeks ago everything was fine with printing.Pics turned out
great. For some reason printing out pictures doesn't work any more. The
quality is bad.I have Windows XP Prof ,the printer is a Hp deskjet 3550.Pics
have stripes and the colours don't match either.I could correct it once when
switching from fax to picture printing in the printing wizard, but this
doesn't work any more.I tried printing without that wizard--nope.All a mess
again.I really don't know what to try any more.I sure do hope somebody can
give me help!!
Thanks in advance Anna

I think that you will find that some other program has reset the printer
driver settings to the right ones for printing text. This will always
produce banding and bad colour.
You need to go into Control Panel > Printers and Faxes, choose your printer,
Right-click, go into Properties and choose your photo paper and the Best
settings.
I don't use a Deskjet myself, but I have had to fix this problem for several
Deskjet owners.
Hope that it works for you.
