I am currently working on a report in excel where I
require gridlines for my spreadsheet. I have tried all
options such as check marking the box for gidlines went
thru the whole printing check up to make sure that I have
done everything. It just wont print out the gridlines for
me. It seems that the computer command is not reaching the
printer. Can you please help me?

Is the "Draft Quality" box checked at File>Page Setup>Sheet. This can cause
gridlines to not print.

Do you see the gridlines on the worksheet but they won't print?

Where are you check-marking the box for "gridlines"? In File>Page
Setup>Sheet? Correct place

Or perhaps in Tools>Options>View? Incorrect.

Hi Iris:

Let's check you're doing it right first. (Sorry but...<vbg>)

From the File menu
Select Page Setup,
Select the Sheet tab.
[There should be a box to select for printing gridlines]
Select it,
Click OK [That's important and often missed]

Also make sue that in File > Page Setup > Sheet (tab) - "Draft
quality" is unchecked as that over-rides your printing gridlines
command.

But here's what Jim Gordon wrote in a posing to the Mac group to
someone with a grid line printing problem.

"Sometimes Excel will scale things too small for your printer to deal
with. Check the Page Setup and see if the Page tab shows scaling at
100%. I suspect it's adjusted to something considerably less than 100%
so that you can get everything onto a single page.

If that's the case. then select the range of cells you want to print
and use Format > Cells and add borders to the cells. If you make them
thick enough, when you go to print they won't scale to something
invisible or unprintable."

Hi Iris!

Minor correction (but not minor to Jim Gordon). I should have typed
"posting" not "posing". Now ain't that the problem with relying on
spell checks!
