Printing grey as if it were black

I've been printing a lot of street maps lately, from Yahoo and
Mapquest.

And not only are the parks in half-tone, so are the streets and the
street names, even though I print from the special printable version.
But things like "Yahoo Maps" and the warning that I shouldn't get lost
are in black.

I want the streets to be in black, so I can see them in dim light.

Is there any way to make them print darker, especially with a
black&white printer, like my BJ-200.

I have another printer, and I could go to the library or ginkoes if
there was really a way to do this.

If emailing, please let me know whether
or not you are posting the same letter.

Change domain to erols.com, if necessary.

It might help if you tell us what browser, operating system, and printer (if
other than the BJ-200) that you are using. In general terms many
applications and print drivers will allow you to select black and white
printing. Another option is to save the image to a simple graphics program
like Irfanview and decreasing the color depth to two colors ( black and
white). Irfanview is small, friendly, and free.

Sorry, I hate when others don't do that. I was using Netscape 7.1,
but I have IE6 also; Win98FE, No other printer fully installed but I
think I have BJC4200 ready to go.

And in the future a Canon Multi-Pass C5500 printer/scanner/fax (It
will work with the computer I'm assembling. This grey to black issue
isn't going away.)

And also now 2 old impact printers, TI 850 and IBM Graphics.

This sounds good. But I have to sleep now.
