Thank you,I'll try your suggestions. I do realize it is an old clunker, it is not my only printer, fortunately, but being a rat pack I hate to throw it out.

My only remaining suggestions are to:
1. Verify that your printer cable is good (perhaps substitute another cable on a
temporary basis)
2. Download and install the latest driver for this printer
3. Try experimenting with the printer spooler settings (raw, etc.)
4. Search HP's web site for the error codes
5. If possible, try locating another HP LaserJet III to test with. You may have some kind
of problem with your printer, such as a defective memory chip.
If all else fails, might as well splurge and treat yourself to a new printer. A LaserJet
III is a pretty old model anyways.

No it does does. It goes into some flashing frenzy ending with an error 14 No cartridge
(never had one). Reset, Reset Menu don't help. Once I even had error 51. Only turning off
cures it.

Out of curiosity, does printing resume if you take the printer off-line, press the button
that's located just below this button (I forget what it is called), and then put it back
on-line?

WinXP/Access 2003
When I try to print 5 or 30 page report the printer freezes and keeps blinking and Access
freezes as well.
Printer: HP LaserJet III., 5 MB memory
It does not happen with other programs (e.g. Excel)
What should I do?
Thank you.
