Hi there,

I have a Samsung Izzi Laser plus 2 laser printer.

I have letter template that I created in Word. It has some background imaged
that I placed into the header of the document.
This image is designed to give the effect of bleeding to the edge of the
page.

When I use the Adobe distiller to print out to PDF, it prints exactly as I
would expect it to.

However, when I print to my Samsung (whether I print directly from Word, or
I print from the PDF file, it does not seem to print how the PDF is.

It seems to chop of the border essentially which I do not want it do it. I
guess it is like there is a 5mm border around the whole page which gets
cropped.

Is there a way to stop this from occurring.

Cheers

David.

Probably not. Check the printer set-up.

It appears to me that the printer has minimum margins (regardless of how
small you set them) that are chopping off part of what you want to print. If
this is the case, there is nothing that you can do about it.

I'm again confused (seems to be my plight today).

When you print it via Adobe Distiller to PDF you say it prints as it is
supposed to, but you do not mention how you actually "print" it, are you
printing to screen or to a hard copy image? If to a printer, which
printer are you using which gives you the proper result?

Almost every laser printer I know of has a non-print area around the
paper. This is due to the way laser printers work. To try to rasterize
to the very edge of the drum would be very difficult in terms of the
design of the printer.
