I scan a picture in using H.P. Scanjet 4100C and save it
on my desktop. Now I want to print 5 copies of it. I can
only get to the photo printing wizard, which is not right
for me. How do I get my scan in rich text format so that I
can print in the usual way? I want to get to the ordinary
print page where I have full control over the printing.

Thank you if you can help.

The output of a scanner is an image -- which is why the file is saved in
some image format (tif ?) and the photo printing wizard opens. Many
times, scanners come with some form of Optical Character Recognition
(OCR) software, which "looks" at the image, converts it to characters,
ands allows you to save it to a text file. If OCR software didn't come
with your scanner, you'll have to get some. Try looking at
http://download.com.com/ or other shareware sites for "OCR" (without
quotes).
