Hi,

I have a presentation to be printed usinga color printer HP 7140xi. I have
put a background coulour for the slides. But when I print, it is seen that
the slide is not fitting to the gae. Empty space is coming from all the four
sides. i have tried Fit to page and other page set up options. I want the
print to fill the complete paper. Could any one suggest a sloution.

Dear User,
Go to File > Page Setup > Slides sized for : > A4 paper.

Hope this will solve your problem.

Dear user,
Have you tried this ... File > Print > Properties > Change the paper size ?

Dear Sonia,

I am sorry to tell you that Biju went through that page and he informed me
that in his second string. You can follow that message. But that page did
not help him. I tried some other means but I didnt get any reply from him in
the last time.

Thank you .

I realize that he said that he read the FAQ. Howwever, I wanted to emphasize
the statement there: "Nearly all printers have an area at the edges that they
can't print to. It's a physical limitation of the printer. There's nothing you
or your software can do to change it."

It doesn't matter whether you set up your page size or paper differently or
scale to fit, all of which you suggested, it is a limitation of the printer and
just cannot be done on that particular printer.

Biju, the FAQ you refer to explains what is happening -- your printer isn't
capable of printing to the edge of your page.

The only way around this limitation -- short of spending a *lot* of money on
a specialized printer -- is to print your slides to tabloid-sized paper (or
other oversized paper) and trim it to size. If you choose this route, you
will not want to choose "scale to fit paper" when you print.
