Printing from Outlook does not release print spooler

On my office PC when I print an email (networked printer)
the email prints OK but the computer maintains high
network activity until I go to services and stop--then
restart--print spooler. This problem only occurs with
Outlook; test page, Autocad, Word, etc print with no
problems. I have reinstalled printer, latest drivers.
There are no error messages, just sluggish network until
the print spooler is reset. Any ideas?
 
I am experiencing the same problem on Windows 2000 PCs; printing fro
Outlook 2000 to network printers. Did anyone come up wit
suggestions?
