Hi There,

When printing from an XP machine on Internet explorer,
the PC crashes (reboots) after the page is printed. The
printer is on a network hosted by a 2000 Machine. When
printing other documents not from the internet (doc, txt
etc) the printing is succesful across the network.
Therefore only web pages (internet) cause the problem. I
have re-installed Internet explorer and the network
drivers for the XP machine, but it did not help.

Any suggestions, besides a re-install??

Thanks
Cesar

I have seen this happen on a system with a Trident video card. There was
some active X control that blew up the video card when it was accessed. If
that's not the case check if the print driver is a version 2 (kernel mode
driver) or version 3 (user mode) driver. If it is version 2 check the
manufacture sight for a version 3 driver. Faulty version 2 drivers can
cause the system to crash. Faulty version 3 drivers will only cause the
application to crash.

To determine a version 2 driver look in Printers Folder / File / Server
Properties / Drivers. Find the driver name if it says Windows NT 4.0 it's
version 2.
