When I copy images from my computer to flash memory cards (SM, Xd) and try to print them at photo kiosks, my images are not found. How do I correct this problem?

Are the images in the correct format? Are you
certain that you copied the images to the cards
and not just shortcuts?

The images were a combination of jpeg and psd (photoshop) files. I could see them as being the correct size (around 2 MB) after I copied them to my SmarMedia card.

I stand to be corrected but I doubt that .psd files
would be compatible with the photo kiosk. Might
be a good idea to ask your retailer what formats
are supported. I'm thinking all .jpgs would be best.

And...not to belabor the point but be sure you
copy the files and not just shortcuts. The reason
this is so fresh in my mind is because it happened
to my son-in-law last week.

FWIW, there are many online sites where you can
upload your images and order prints. Have a look
at the following link:

I would believe that psd files might not be supported, except that when I copy them to a CD there is no problem. I think that the problem lies in the flash memory card formating (any atype card), since cameras usually/always have a thumbs file. I need to figure out how to puan equivalent file to the thumbs, whatever that may be.

My psd files are recognized and print when I copy the onto a CD, so, surprisingly, that image format is accepted. I think that the problem jas to do with the format of flash media cards. I think that the computers that read these might be looking for an index or thumbs file, such as are put on by fitial cameras. I need to find out how to create a file that will fool the computers into thinking that the card came out of a camera.

This is an interesting issue and I have no more
ideas...please let us know if you discover the solution.
