Hi dougebowl
First, have her update the printer drivers. She can go to the website for
her printer mfg. and look up the latest driver for her printer, or there may
be an Update tab in the printer settings. That might help. I have not
heard of this particular problem before, so I am not really sure what might
be causing the difference, but, obviously, something got changed somewhere.
Have you contacted the printer support about the problem as well? There may
be a setting that got changed for the printer.

I am not familiar with Comcast, or what options they may have for text
printing, but, you might check with them as well to see if something there
needs to be reset.
Here's something thing she might check.
Go to IE.Tools>Internet Options>General tab>Colors tab, near the bottom
In this box there is a check box that says "Use Windows colors"
If that is checked, UNcheck it and then set the text for black. If it is
unchecked, check it.
See if that helps.
Also, she might think of using Outlook Express as her default email program.
It is much easier to use. Here is how to set it up.
Read here how to setup Outlook Express as your default newsreader

Your identity may be damaged. Try creating a new identity, add your

from the problem identity, then delete it at some later date.
when all seems well, use file>import to get your mail from the old ID into
the new ID before deleting the old.

How to set up an MS newsgroup
In OE go to Tools>Accounts>Add (or New)>News.
Set up an account for this news server:
msnews.microsoft.com
Scroll down the list to the groups you want to subscribe to and then click
Subscribe. When done, click OK
The server is free and does not require you to logon. This news server
carries over 2200 newsgroups related to Microsoft products and keeps
messages at least 30 days.
Hope this helps.

This is my first post to a newsgroup (you probably know that by my lack of
detail). Thanks for the help and instruction. My mom is running Windows
XP
and using Comcast broadband internet connection. She is not using any
other
email program like Outlook Express, Outlook, Opera, etc. as you had
mentioned. She just connects to Comcast website and opens her emails from
there. Thanks again for your help!!!

Hi dougebowl
You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, which really is a
must when asking for help in the newsgroups, nor which program she is
using
for her emails, i.e. Outlook Express, Outlook, Opera, etc.
Please post back with the above details and we will do our best to help.

My mom recently replaced the ink cartridges in her HP 1300 series
printer.
She did not change any settings....The problem is now her emails print
in
blue font while word and excel continue to print in black font. Why is
it
printing blue font for her emails. Since Word and Excel are printing
correctly, I am guessing this is an IE6.0 issue. ANY AND ALL help is
greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!!
