I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH PRINTING. I HAVE A CUSTOMIZED, OLDER DOS PROGRAM
THAT I NEED TO PRINT SOME REPORTS FROM. THIS IS NOT A PROGRAM WE CURRENTLY
USE, BUT ONE THAT I DO NEED SOME INFORMATION FROM. WHERE MY PROBLEM LIES IS
THAT WHEN I TELL THE PROGRAM TO PRINT TO MY PRINTER, IT KEEPS TRYING TO SEND
IT TO A PRINTER CALLED 'ACTIVE TOUCH DOCUMENT LOADER'. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO
CORRECT THE PATH TO THE CORRECT PRINTER. IF EVEN POSSIBLE. ANY HELP WOULD BE
APPRECIATED.

katwhit,
WHEN I TELL THE PROGRAM TO PRINT TO MY PRINTER, IT KEEPS TRYING TO SEND
IT TO A PRINTER CALLED 'ACTIVE TOUCH DOCUMENT LOADER'.

if it's really a DOS application, then it doesn't print to a specific
printer, but to a specific port (probably LPT1). The "Active Touch Document
Loader" is a Windows printer driver which probably is connected to the same
port the DOS application is trying to print to.

You should look at your DOS application's menus to see to which port it's
sending the print jobs to, then you can connect a DOS capable printer to
that port or you can redirect the port's output to another location.

Kind regards,
