Hi there
Can anyone tell me how to print the contents of a folder
as a tree of all the sub folders and files in a details
format? Did that make sense? When I burn CDs of
particular folders (with multiple documents), I need to
put on the front of them what is on the cd and be able to
check at a glance what is in each folder...

Thanks
Cathy

If Windows Explorer shows the folder contents in the detail you want on
a single screen (i.e., without needing to scroll) take a screen shot by
pressing the "Print Scrn" button, then pasting the image in something
like MS Paint in order to print it. Or, open a CMD window; change to
the folder you want to print out (e.g., cd "c:\Documents and
Settings\Cathy\My Documents" note that if the folder name has spaces,
you will need quotes around it), and type dir > prn Then type exit to
close the CMD window.

.
Hello Cathy.
Go to this site :http://ktk.ru/~camelot/nokken/
There you will find a freeware program called Print
Folders 1.4. It's only 266kb in size so dowloading it will
go quick. This program will change any folder with sub-
folders into a .txt file. It even reads folders directly
off cd's.
I'm sure this will solve your problem.

Anton
