I am a relative novice, so please be kind. When I get an email with an
attachment using MS Word, I can open it to view but i am unable to print it
or successfully move it to My Documents. I have MS Office 2000 installed on
my cpu. All suggestions cheerfully accepted. Thanks.

What happens when you try?

If you are using Outlook Express as your email program, there is a
security setting that disables the saving of attachments. Look in OE's
options for a Security tab. You'll see there is a checkbox that can be
cleared. Be very careful opening attachments since that is one of the
ways your computer can become infected. If you are sure you want to save
attachments and you have a current version (not earlier than 2006)
antivirus with an active subscription and updated virus definitions,
then clear that checkbox. Now you should be able to save the attachment
in your My Documents.

If you aren't using Outlook Express or MS Outlook (which also has this
restriction), then post back with the name of your email program.

If you use Internet Explorer, this means you are reading your email
online. Perhaps you have DSL and you are reading it at the DSL
provider's email site, like AT&T/Yahoo. Or you have GMail, Hotmail, or
regular Yahoo mail. There's no way for me to know unless you tell me. In
any case, when you are reading email online, you are using that
provider's webmail program. You will need to look at whatever options
are provided in order to allow attachments to be saved. If you can't see
any options, look for Help at the webmail site.
