I am trying to learn how to use a new Nikon D50 DSLR.
In our city, triecentennial anniversary is going on yesterday and today.
They tried to re-enact Spanish settler about 300 years ago.
Beautiful Spanish costumes of men and women on horseback were everywhere and
we can see banners that display coasts of arms. So I took some pictures
and tried to print using a Canon printer.
Pictures were gorgeous but I was not able to figure out how to print date
stamp.
With pictures taken with Sony P&S cameras, I used to print date.
Does anybody know how to print date? John

You might take a look at Photo Paper Saver from
http://www.fpdoctor.com/pps/main/main-j-0-0.html. It will print the
date or date/time from the exif header on the print if you so choose.

Is there a camera setting for the date? Mine has one. In fact, I have three
cameras that offer the date on the image as an option.

I don't see any option to print a date on my software, but others may have
it.

When I placed batteries into the new camera, the first thing the camera
prompted was to set date.
That was done. But the Nikon manual did not mention about printing date on
pictures.

Try using EZ Photo Print. It has an option to print dates on pictures of the
common sizes.
It should be on your CD or download a version from the Canon website .
It should read the EXIF information from the camera.

If you are using the Nikon software for printing
(e.g., Nikon View), click Metadata in the page
layout and then check the box for printing the date.

Easy Photo Print does. In the layout/print tab it prints out a the modified
date (the date of the file, at least)
