Does anyone know if you can and
how to print the date on the photo?
================================
You can add a textbox anywhere you wish
on an image and print it or with the image/s
open you can go to...File / Print / Print Multiple /

Choose a template / next / Fill with pictures /
Next / Check the box..."Print With Date Stamps"/
Print.

I went through your procedure and checked the "Print With Date Stamps" and
then printed a 4X6 photo and the date still didn't appear(When you select
this option will you see the date on the picture in the preview pane?)

Do you know where the date prints on the picture and the color? Could it be
printing and I don't see it because it's blending into an existing color on
the picture?

John,
Just another piece of information I discovered. When I added a text box
to the picture and saved the file as .png file is when the date does not
appear in the preview pane or print. If I add a text box and saved as a .jpg
then the date appears and prints.

Prints in bottom right and will appear like it's
embossed...not really a color. May be very
hard to see but will show better if picture is
printed on glossy paper. This may not be your
best option.

And BTW...the date it prints will be the date
the picture was taken...some image files may
not include this data.

Sorry but I'm uncertain why adding a text box
to a .png would print any differently to a .jpg.
If the text box is visible on the face of the image
it should print.

Maybe the .png is a layered file and the text box
was not moved to the front? Also...if the image is
very high resolution you may need to increase the
size of the text.

I probably conrfused you but the text box I added was just to put a verbage
on the picture describing it. I had to save it as a .png file so it would
save it as seperate objects. That seems to be the only way I could go back
in later and change the verbage in the text box. Saving it as a .jpg file
stored it as part of the picture and I could not go back and change it. When
I went through your procedure where I found the "Print the date stamp" I
checked the box but it does not print the date on the .png file. But if I go
in and select a .jpg picture it does print the date stamp.

Sorry, but we are going around in circles
and I am out of suggestions. If it does not
work for you .....a different app might be
your solution.

FWIW...the freeware FastStone Image
Viewer can print date stamps to a batch.
Maybe it would be worth a try.
