Here is a bizzar one.
An access 2003 database on Win XP runs quite happily on most PC's.

2 PC's (Win XP) the databsae appears to work fine untill the reports are
printed when they are in black and white.
The reports preview in colour.
A printout of a form is in colour.
An export to a snapshot appears in colour but then prints in black and
white.
A different access database prints in colour.

I have tried repairing and even converting to an earlier version on access
and back with no success.

Does antone have any idea of what could be causing this and how to get over
it please.

Thanks

Adam

I would open the reports in design view, go to the print
menu and specifically choose a printer. Hopefully, this
will fix the problem. If it doesn't, try to install a new
printer driver.

I have identified the problem.
The database was converted from an Access 97 format to Access 2003. When
this conversion happened the default printer was a black and white Laser
jet. Somehow the black and white setting must have got into the reports
settings so that even though the report is setup to use the default printer
(which is in colour) it is overwritten by the hidden black and white
setting.

To overcome this I have opened all reports. In page setup set the printer
not to use the default, but a specific colour printer. Unset the grey scale
setting and saved the report and then changed the reports back to use the
default printer.

What a pain!

Adam,

Thanks for reporting back. Hidden things like that are things that everyone
would like to know about.
