I am trying to find the option that allows you to print an Outlook calendar but
gives you the option to omit specific events from being printed.

I think that it's related to whether it's marked as private or not, when you
enter notes. However I cannot find the option to enable this feature.

I'm running Outlook 2003.

Thanks.

I would suggest:

"My Outlook Calendar". You can
download this from the SlipStick.com site,
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/calendar.htm#print
Customizable Word template for generating Outlook
weekly and monthly calendars.

This VERY COOL FREE template is run from a Word template
that when opened will read your calendar (Or any calendar
that you have access to) and build you a
completely editable calendar with all the details included.
All wrapped with complete information.

You may need to relax the Macros running in both Outlook
and MS Word.

In Microsoft Word Select:
- TOOLS menu
- Select MACRO
- Select SECURITY

In Outlook there is the same process, however, I believe it
is the Microsoft Word that will try to stop the macro in the
Word Template from processing. You will want to set it
to allow or give you the choice of running it. I would only
fix the WORD security first and see if that doesn't do the
trick.

"My Outlook Calendar". You can

Thanks for that Nikki.

If I can't do it in Outlook itself I'll have a look at this.

I have to wonder, though, what's the point of being able to mark an event as
"private" or even "confidential" when anyone can see it.

There is an option to HIDE DETAILS OF PRIVATE
APPOINTMENTS.

- Select the Calendar
- Near the bottom of the Print window is an itty bitty
check box that you can check next to "Hide details
of private appointments. Check it.

In your original question, you mentioned that you
wanted to select some events, I thought you wanted
more editing possibilities than just the Private option.
This should do the trick for you.

Yes, of course. That's the ONLY place that I didn't go looking for it.

Thanks for that, again.

I might have worded my question(s) poorly. But then I wasn't sure what I was
looking for.

You stated your question very well. As a technologist I just have
a tendency to over think a question. :)

Have a great weekend!
